ANGEL-HEART FOUNDATION (aka A.H.F) is a registered non profit organisation that was launched on 12 August 2012 in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, South Africa by it's founder and director Ulenda Boitumelo Dhlamini.

 

A year later, the organisation was entered into register on 05 September 2013.

 

It’s hard to imagine that there are many young girls, between the ages of 12 and 19 years and older women that are living below the poverty line in South Africa, who have to resort to using old clothes, rags and newspapers because they cannot afford sanitary towels. Usually when a girl child has no food at home, it goes without saying that they would not necessarily have sanitary towels. We know, that's a lot to take in hey?

 

We believe every girl in South Africa and beyond our borders deserves access to safe and hygienic sanitary products.  Our goal and mission is to help school-going girls and women reclaim the dignity that poverty denies them and this will enable girls to make a lasting and positive impact on the communities they live in and society as a whole.

 

We aim to provide women and school-going girls in disadvantaged areas with a supply of free sanitary pads, improve the menstrual health and hygiene practices in their communities and that's the main reason why ANGEL-HEART FOUNDATION was born.
